Christopher Crnich, MD, PhD

Christopher Crnich, MD, MPH, PhD, is Chief of Medicine at the Madison Wisconsin VA and an Associate Professor of Medicine in Infectious Disease at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Crnich is the principal or co-investigator on a number of federally funded antimicrobial stewardship projects in LTC settings. He has served on several national committees and task forces in the VA, the CDC, the Advancing Excellence Campaign, and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. He is currently chairing a national group of LTC infection control experts charged with updating the Loeb minimum criteria for initiation of antibiotics in LTC settings.
