Kamal Wagle, MD, MPH, CMD

Kamal Wagle, MD, MPH, CMD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and General Internal Medicine at Indiana University. He did his geriatrics fellowship from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, then he received The Estela E Medrano Award for Excellence in Aging Research (2011), and was Hartford scholar as an advance geriatrics fellow and junior geriatrics faculty (2011-2012; 2015-2016). As an innovative geriatrician, his interest is in implementing evidence based practices to improve medication safety for vulnerable elders. He is a member of Quality Measures Committee since March 2017. He works as a medical director of a post-acute care and long term care setting in Indianapolis. He is also an attending physician in primary care geriatrics clinic. In both settings, he teaches learners of various levels and disciplines at his institute.
