Verna Sellers, MD, MPH, CMD
Verna Sellers, MD, MPH, CMD, AGSF, is Medical Director of Geriatrics Service and PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) for CentraHealth in Lynchburg, Virginia. Dr. Sellers is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Geriatric Medicine and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and AMDA, the Society for Post Acute and Long-Term Care. She is a member of the American Geriatric Society and chair of the Post-Acute and Long Term Care SIG. Dr. Sellers is a clinician, administrator and educator. She provides medical care (including treatment of infections) for patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and nursing facilities. As Medical Director of a PACE organization, Dr. Sellers is responsible for the oversight of the quality assurance performance improvement program (QAPI) which includes infection control plan and policy development. Dr. Sellers is a preceptor for the Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency Geriatric Fellowship Program.
