The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) will host a half-day training on adult immunization, quality care, and performance metrics. The program is presented by GSA’s Immunization Champions, Advocates, and Mentors Program (ICAMP). The training will be held just prior to AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine’s annual meeting and will focus on the challenges of immunizing in a long-term care setting.

The content of the program will emphasize methods for enhancing immunization quality metrics and approaches to enrich healthcare patient immunization dialogue. Attendees will learn best practices to boost adult immunization rates and will have opportunities to exchange ideas with ICAMP Academy’s multidisciplinary experts and participants. Individuals will be able to formulate an immunization action plan to take back to their facility.

Faculty includes Barbara Resnick, PhD, CRNP, FAAN, FAANP, Professor, Organization Systems and Adult Health, University of Maryland. GSA welcomes a variety of attendees, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
