David Smith, MD, CMD, is president of Geriatric Consultants of Central Texas, PA, and currently a medical director at two facilities and a regional medical director for a hospice organization. He is served a variety of posts in South Dakota and Texas state AMDA chapters and is past president of AMDA. Both Dr. Huss and Dr. Smith are members of the AMDA liability workgroup and have extensive experience as consultants and expert witnesses in nursing facility litigation for many years for both defense and plaintiff cases.
