Deborah Burdsall, PhD, RN

Deb Burdsall PhD, RN-BC, CIC, FAPIC, has worked in long term care since 1974. Dr. Burdsall is board certified in infection prevention and control (CIC), and ANCC certified in gerontological nursing. She was Infection Control Coordinator/Infection Preventionist at the Lutheran Home/Lutheran Life Communities from 1991- 2016. She has a BA in psychology with a minor in biology from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and a diploma in nursing from The Evanston Hospital School of Nursing. Dr. Burdsall earned her MSN from the University of Iowa College of Nursing and her PhD in Nursing from The University of Iowa College of Nursing with a cognate in public health/epidemiology.
